In fashion, as in gymnastics, coordination is key, according to Onleash Inc., a Charlotte, N.C.-based company that sells coordinating fashion accessories for dog owners and their companion.
“We’re making going out and looking great together both easy and fun,” says Jon Pokress, vice president of marketing. “We’d like to think we’re also adding a whole new dimension to the parent-pet relationship, but we’ll settle for great aesthetics.”
Onleash accessories are offered as three and four-piece sets, consisting of a collar, leash and a choice of a handbag, scarf or ultrasuede-lined cuff (wristband). The line includes animal print ultrasuedes, a collection of Parisian tweeds and textured checks and a contemporary collection of paisleys and geometrics.
Onleash began developing its products in 2005 and last April, they launched their website www.onleash.com.
“We’ve had a very positive response,” Pokress says. “Women are looking for ways to have fun. It’s one more way to look good.”
Onleash is currently developing a male accessory line, including a messenger bag for men on the go. |
