Dublin Dog Co., Inc., a Charlotte, N.C.-based manufacturer of pet accessories and owner apparel, revealed yesterday the winners of its “How Do You Dublin” photo contest.
During the contest, which ran Sept. 1 through Oct. 15, dog owners were each able to post on Dublin Dog’s website up to three photos of their dogs. Visitors to the website then voted on their favorites.
“Daisy the Dock Jumping Dog” won first place with more than 500 votes. She and 11 other winners will be featured in the 2009 Dublin Dog calendar. The top three winners will receive an array of Dublin Dog products in addition to being featured in the calendar.
All proceeds from the calendar will benefit The Dublin Dog Foundation and the American Pet Cross. The Dublin Dog Foundation is the non-profit branch of Dublin Dog that aims to foster the therapeutic and service roles of dogs. The American Pet Cross is a national organization that assists animals in situations of disease, abuse, abandonment and disaster.
“We were overwhelmed with the response to our How Do You Dublin photo contest and were thrilled with the photos submitted of dogs just being dogs,” said Jason Watson, Dublin Dog’s founder and CEO. “We feel that this contest truly captures the spirit of Dublin Dog, and were excited to be able to contribute to two great foundations for animals.”
