Fashion for Paws, the Washington Humane Society’s third annual fundraising fete, is scheduled for March 28, 2009, from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C.
In its first two years, Fashion for Paws sold more than 1,000 tickets each year, raising more than $330,000 for the Washington Humane Society.
The third annual event will feature 60 of the city’s most notable personalities who will strut down the runway with fashionably dressed dogs. Men and women models will be dressed in ready-to-wear spring 2009 apparel. Models of the four-legged variety will be decked in “ready-to-wag” spring 2009 doggie couture.
Fashion for Paws will also include a reception honoring the Washington Humane Society’s “Model Washingtonian of the Year,” a title bestowed on one woman and one man each year. The winners will be chosen based on who has raised the most money for the society in a fundraising competition held during the weeks leading up to the event.
Regular tickets are $75 per person (standing), VIP tickets are $150 per person (seated), and VIP tables are $2,000.
