Luxury Philadelphia Residence Caters to Pets

Pet owners living in Philadelphia’s The Residences at Two Liberty Place don’t need to travel far to pamper their furry companions. The luxury boutique condominium, which opened this spring, houses its own Pet Spa.

Senior Concierge Jamie Cooperstein said providing an array of pet amenities through Pet Spa was “second nature” for the residential tower, because it strives to provide the same kind of services as five-star hotels. And five-star hotels, she said, are becoming more and more pet friendly.

“We’re trying to offer every single amenity possible, whether it’s a massage for an adult or a fantastic dog run for your pet,” she said.

Pet Spa services range from grooming and massage treatments to pet transport and play dates. Most of the services offered by the spa can take place in the owner’s home or off site.

“It really all comes down to what the owner and the pet wants,” Cooperstein said.

Services are provided exclusively by PhilaPets.com, a pet sitting and dog walking company based in Philadelphia, or one of its preferred associates. Cooperstein said Philapets.com was voted “Best of Philadelphia” in 2005 and 2008 by Philadelphia Magazine.

The Residences at Two Liberty Place is still under construction, with full occupancy projected for late 2009. When completed, it will include between 90 and 100 homes, depending on whether residents plan to combine units.

Animals up to 75 pounds are permitted, meaning either one animal weighing up to 75 pounds or up to three animals that total no more than 75 pounds.
