Luxury Pet Pavilion will kick off its Los Angeles 2009 Spring Show with a celebrity fundraiser on March 6 benefiting the Ruff Houzen Animal Rescue Foundation.
The foundation, which was created by Ashley Paige, celebrity swimsuit designer and star of the TLC show, “Bikini or Bust,” will use the money for the new Ruff Houzen No-Kill Animal Shelter in Los Angeles.
The fundraiser event will include a silent auction with more than 50 of the latest pet fashions and home accessories, a live auction featuring “pet experience” packages, specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and swag bags.
National and international vendors will showcase their products, ranging from eco-friendly pet items to posh pet furniture, March 7-8 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Pavilion said it aims to provide a red carpet experience while allowing pet manufacturers to conduct business with comfort and ease.
The spring show will also introduce a series of exclusive events, book signings, celebrity guests and seminars.
In addition, there will be new “Pet Experience Booths” located throughout the showroom floor. The Pavilion describes these booths as vignettes that will give a glimpse into the pampered pooch lifestyle, including a pet hotel suite, dog spa and designer pet bedroom. Each will showcase the latest in pet product merchandising as well as give tips.
Exhibiting vendors will also have the opportunity to market and sell their products to the public with The Luxury Pet Pavilion’s new “cash and carry” event, which will take place March 8 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Luxury Pet Pavilion’s official charity is Angel On A Leash, which will receive a donation from the organization and participating exhibitors for each booth sold. The nonprofit works with therapy dogs in health care facilities, schools, correctional facilities, as well as for crisis intervention and other related avenues.
Luxury Pet Pavilion sponsors include Pet Style News and its sister publication Pet Product News International, among others.
