The Hilton Sao Paulo Morumbi in Brazil aims to relinquish pet-related tensions among couples with its “No More Doggy Drama” getaway package. Relaunched in July, the package allows guests to be pampered while their furry friends are cared for by the hotel’s staff.
Hotel Manager Patricio Alvarez said the “No More Doggy Drama” getaway package is in response to an increasing trend in pet travel.
“Many hotels offer general programs for pets, but we wanted to provide something specific for couples trying to balance romance with caring for their four-legged friend,” Alvarez said. “With the No More Doggy Drama package, couples are free to concentrate on connecting with each other, knowing their dog is being well taken care of with daily care and walking.”
The package includes deluxe accommodations, daily breakfast for two, daily doggy daycare from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., three dog walks per day, one spa treatment per person per day, and late check-out based on availability. It is available through Dec. 31, 2008 and starts at $437 per night.
So far, Alvarez said the getaway package has been successful in generating awareness of the hotel as a “pet-friendly property looking for creative ways to make all guests feel more at home.”
“In general, we’ve seen more bookings of guests with pets,” he said.
