Anne & Jane, a sterling silver jewelry manufacturer in Fort Bragg, Calif., is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the launch of a limited edition collection.
The collection features the company’s top ten designs from over the past two decades. Among the re-released designs, seven feature animals, including cats, dogs, fish, deer and cows.
Animals are a popular theme of sisters Anne and Jane Harvey’s jewelry. The Harveys also have a Presidential Pets line which includes President Bill Clinton’s cat, Socks, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Scottish terrier, Fala.
“A huge portion of our line is of animals,” Jane Harvey said. “We grew up on a small family farm, so we always had animals. It’s part of our history.”
The sisters established their jewelry design partnership in 1988 in San Francisco. Their line of sterling silver and hand-painted jewelry includes pins, pendants, charms, chains, boxes and bracelets, earrings, necklaces, hair clips and watch bracelets.
The sisters describe their jewelry as whimsical, stylized and simple.
“We’re constantly translating what we see into figurative design,” Anne Harvey said.
