The Pet Care Services Association (PCSA), a Colorado Springs, Colo.-based trade association with more than 3,100 business members, has named Joan Saunders as its new chief executive officer. Saunders, who is replacing Joseph Lyman, comes to PCSA from the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce where she was named chief operating officer and chief financial officer in 2007. In the animal field, Saunders holds board positions with Pike’s Peak Therapeutic Riding Center and the Humane Society of the Pike Peaks Region.
The American Pet Products Association’s (APPA) Senior Vice President Andrew Darmohraj was named chairman of the board of directors for the New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE). The mission of NYSAE is to advance and serve association and not-for-profit management. Darmohraj, a certified association executive, joined APPA in 1997 and has more than 20 years experience in association management and trade show production.
Variegated, a bedding and home accessories design company based in Catskill, N.Y., debuted a pet line in July.
